WHAT DOES “COMBAT READY” ACTUALLY MEAN?

It doesn't mean you're invincible.

It doesn't mean you won't get injured.

It means you've deliberately built physical qualities that support your ability to train, perform and live.

WHAT YOU SHOULD FEEL

PERFORMANCE.
LONGEVITY.

You should feel:

  • Stronger
  • More mobile
  • More explosive
  • More athletic
  • More capable

The goal is to keep training.

Not just this year.
Not just until your next competition.

For as long as you want to.

Longevity comes from maintaining and developing the physical qualities that allow you to keep participating.

CAPACITY

RESILIENCE.

Your body has to deal with more than your martial arts class.

It has to deal with:

  • Repeated training
  • Fatigue
  • Work
  • Life
  • Unexpected demands
  • Years of accumulated stress

The goal is to increase your capacity to handle those demands.

HOW PROGRESS IS MEASURED

WE COMPARE YOU WITH WHERE YOU STARTED

BASELINE

We record where you start across movement, mobility, strength and explosivity.

WEEK 6

We reassess the same areas and compare them with your starting point.

WEEK 12

A full review: what changed, what still needs attention and what comes next.

Numbers matter, but they are not the whole story. We also look at how your body feels in class, how well you recover between sessions and whether old niggles are staying quiet.

WHAT THE COACHING INCLUDES

WHAT YOU GET WORKING WITH SHAAN

ASSESS

An initial movement and performance assessment, so the plan starts from where you actually are.

TRAIN

A personalised programme of two to three gym sessions a week, delivered online through the coaching app.

CHECK IN

A short written check-in every week, so Shaan can see how your week went and adjust your programme.

There are reassessment calls with Shaan during the programme, to compare where you are with where you started.

WHO GETS THE MOST FROM IT

MARTIAL ARTISTS WHO WANT TO STAY CAPABLE

You are 30+, you train martial arts and you want to keep going for the long term. You have a demanding career or a busy life outside the gym, and old injuries or recurring niggles you do not want dictating your training.

You do not need to compete, be an elite athlete or train every day. You need to care about staying capable.

How to keep training martial arts for decades
LIMITED 1:1 SPOTS

YOUR BODY IS PART
OF YOUR MARTIAL ARTS.

So train it accordingly. You don't need to chase every physical quality at once. You need a strategy.
